Fixed versus removable
Braces remain attached and work continuously. Invisalign aligners are removable and depend on consistent daily wear. Removability can become a disadvantage when wear is inconsistent.
Braces and Invisalign can both move teeth, but they place different demands on the patient and may not be equally suitable for every orthodontic problem.

Aligners are generally less noticeable and removable for meals and brushing. Braces require more care around brackets and wires; ceramic brackets can offer a less visible fixed alternative.
Some movements and bite corrections may be more predictable with one approach than another. Attachments, elastics or other auxiliaries may also be used with aligners.
Ask whether both options can predictably achieve the same goals in your case. If they can, appearance, convenience, cost and compliance can play a larger role.
